The Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), the United Services Automobile Association (USAA), and the USAA Educational Foundation are jointly conducting a survey studying financial wellness among the military community, to include early career servicemembers and their families, recently separated veterans, and retirees years beyond service. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the overall financial wellbeing of these communities, and to collect data related to financial savings behaviors among service-affiliated families. The results of this survey will be published later in 2025. Please watch the MOAA website and social media for more information!

The survey includes questions from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Financial Well-Being Scale, used by the Department of Defense to develop Financial Readiness materials, as well as questions regarding major financial decisions, planning, and savings behaviors. This survey should only take 10 – 15 minutes and no identifying information will be collected by this instrument. Your responses are anonymous and will only be reported in the aggregate.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact us at research@moaa.org.
