Hong Kong community needs survey |
Ealing Welcome Hong Kong funding
Ealing Council has secured £30,000 Welcome Hong Kong funding to strengthen our capacity to reach out, connect with and support local Hongkongers.
Working with locally based community networks, Ealing and Northfields Hong Kong Club and Light Foundations, we will support Hong Kong arrivals activities focusing on five key objectives:
- Establish an understanding of new residents from Hong Kong to design local services that would meet their needs
- Build trust with Hongkongers to facilitate cooperation and integration
- Promote Hongkongers' physical and mental health to encourage a positive mind-set and the confidence to settle in the UK
- Educational opportunities to help Hongkongers navigate UK systems and to celebrate and promote Hong Kong heritage and culture
- Increase employability through training and skills, helping Hongkongers gain the confidence to find work.
This survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. It will allow us to better understand patterns of migration, how Honkongers access information, and essential needs they identify to successfully settle. Feedback received from the survey will help us allocate resources more effectively and shape services that will best support the Hong Kong community. Should you have any queries, contact us on dosomethinggood@ealing.gov.uk
Any information received as part of this survey will be used solely by Ealing Council to improve its services to local Hongkongers.
