Wesley Mission Queensland's friendly team of staff and volunteers at headspace Capalaba assist young people aged 12 to 25 with mental health, general health, drug, alcohol, work and study issues.

With access to psychologists, psychiatrists and counsellors, as well as non-clinical staff, the service provides a holistic approach to support improving the mental health and general well-being of young people. headspace Capalaba offers enhanced support, including low-intensity and complex care coordination based on individual needs.

headspace Capalaba is accessible by public transport with a bus stop outside the centre, and the park 'n' ride a short walk away.
About Volunteering With Us

We are currently seeking volunteers for our Friends and Family Reference Group. The Friends and Family Reference Group helps us understand what it is like for loved ones to be supporting young people in their recovery from mental health or substance use concerns. This group is for people aged over 26 who want to support and help lead the community by providing feedback and input into processes, systems and service delivery at headspace Capalaba.


As part of our team of dedicated volunteers, you will be provided with training and support to perform your role efficiently and safely, including the opportunity to develop your skills in the area of Youth Mental Health.

All our volunteers follow a COVID-19 safe work plan and provide proof they have received a minimum of one primary COVID-19 vaccination before they are registered in their role.

Volunteers will also be required to have a current NDIS Workers Screening Clearance and Blue Card Combined check before commencement. This can be applied for through Wesley Mission Queensland at no cost to you.
