Welcome!

Dear Contributor,

Welcome! Thank you for clicking through to the portal. Thank you for trusting me to look after your letter and share your fantasy.

Last year I published Want, a book of anonymous sexual fantasies written by ordinary women around the world. The response to the book was extraordinary – it brought conversations into the light that had previously been shrouded in darkness, shame and fear.

I was amazed at the bravery, the honesty, the tenderness and above all the raw vulnerability of the fantasies women sent in and the response to them from the public. I felt so honoured to be the custodian of these extraordinary voices.

I want to give more women the chance to have their voice heard and their fantasy published so we are publishing a second book. I would love your fantasy to be a part of this new book.

I asked you to write to me anonymously for Want, safe in the knowledge that your identity would be protected and any information you shared with me and my publisher, Bloomsbury, would be kept entirely secure. It is critical for us to honour that pledge, so with that in mind, if your letter is included in the second book it will also be published anonymously.

I know that it takes time and courage to write a fantasy and to share such deeply personal information with me. To maintain your anonymity we cannot recompense any of our contributors. However, I will make a charitable donation of £500 per fantasy published in the book, split equally between the charities Women for Women and War Child to support the important work they do for women and children across the world. My publisher Bloomsbury will donate the sum of £50,000 to Women for Women.

Lastly, we would like to thank you for trusting us with your fantasy. We have been so moved by the fantasies we received for Want and we’re excited about who we might hear from in this second book. We have started a conversation, a movement, a community – we would love you to join us.

With all best wishes,

Gillian
