CNA Curriculum Revision Questions for Providers

We are in the process of revising the state’s CNA Curriculum and would like your input on improvement. Please take a couple of minutes to answer the following questions to provide insight on how you think new CNAs are prepared to work in long-term care. Please make sure only one person from your facility answers this questionnaire. Your answers will be extremely helpful in updating the curriculum.
.How many individuals have you hired in the last 24 months that are brand new CNAs?
.What County is your facility located in?
.Has your facility hosted a CNA class in your building in the last 24 months?
.How knowledgeable are you about the skills taught through the current curriculum?
.What do you have to teach CNAs that they didn’t learn in class?
.What 3 skills that are currently taught are most important to working in long-term care?
.Would you be open to expanding the required number of hours in the class to expand knowledge?
.If you answered yes to question #7, by how much?
.Is there anything else you would like us to know as we update the curriculum?
