Introduction
Working together, the University of Portsmouth, Portsmouth City Council, Salterns Academy Trust, the Royal Navy and other engineering employers in the area want to sponsor and open a University Technical College in Portsmouth in September 2017; this is a school for 14-19 year olds interested in science, technology, engineering and maths.
We’d really like to know if you think opening UTC Portsmouth is a good idea, and so we are carrying out a public consultation.
The consultation includes this questionnaire, four public meetings and a regular drop-in centre. The findings will be used to determine if there should be a UTC and if so, to develop our policies and practices. Further details can be found in our pre-opening guide.
