FINALLY, a study on the impacts of summer staff experiences!

We are excited about this opportunity to assess the United Methodist summer camp staff experience! We need as many UMCRM camps as possible to help. We plan to survey all UMCRM summer staff at the beginning of the summer and again at the end of the summer. This will allow us to measure growth and impact. In order to get the best data possible, we need to survey staff as early as possible after their arrival at camp for the summer. Your task will be to administer the pre-summer survey to your staff on the first or second day of staff training. You will then administer the follow-up survey at the end of the summer. You have two options: online (staff can use their devices) or paper (we will send you the survey to print). This form gives us the information we need to include your summer staff in the study. This study is funded by UMCRM and directed by Sacred Playgrounds, using the methodology of the peer-reviewed Camp and Church Leadership Project (www.sacredplaygrounds.com/cclp).

Data from this study will help us tell the story of the impacts of working on summer camp staff, and we will also gain insights into how we can better care for and develop our staff. Findings will be shared online, in reports, at conferences, and in print materials. Camps that get more than 20 staff responses will also get a brief fact sheet with data from their summer staff!
