Dear Faculty and Academic Department Chairs,

Greetings! As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, we are conducting a brief survey to assess the existing "green" training components within our college's curriculum. Your valuable insights will contribute significantly to our efforts in building a comprehensive Green Jobs Pipeline.

Thank you for taking the time to participate in this survey. Your input is crucial in helping us understand the current landscape of environmentally focused training programs at our college. By identifying existing initiatives, we can build upon them to create a more sustainable and green educational framework. The survey aims to be concise, ensuring minimal disruption to your busy schedules.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics defines green jobs as:

A. Jobs in businesses that produce goods or provide services that benefit the environment or conserve natural resources.

B. Jobs in which workers’ duties involve making their establishment’s production processes more environmentally friendly or use fewer natural resources.

So, when we use the term “green” in this survey, we mean any part of training and/or curriculum that espouses the following ideas, values and skills:

· Sustainable material management and reducing waste to achieve Zero Waste.

· Sustainable procurement.

· Recycling and reuse of valuable resources.

· Producing and promoting sustainable energy sources.

· Stewardship of natural resources.

· Causes and impact of climate change and how we can mitigate its challenges.
