Thank you for your interest in registering as a Volunteer Visitor with Wesley Mission Queensland!

We are looking for friendly people who want to make a difference in the lives of residents in our Specialist Disability Accommodation Communities by spending an hour per week or fortnight visiting and being a social friend to individuals living in these communities. Due to the nature of the role, we ask for a commitment of six months.

In the role of Volunteer Visitor, you will assist in ensuring residents in our Specialist Disability Accommodation Communities remain actively engaged and inspired every day. Quality time shared can include having meaningful social interactions and conversations, playing games, working on a hobby together such as gardening or artwork, or playing a musical instrument. You might take a stroll around the facility (mobility permitting), share similar interests or connect virtually.

Volunteer Visitors are not involved in providing clinical or personal care to the people they visit.
