The purpose of Revitalize Tri Delta Transit is to evaluate the existing conditions in Eastern Contra Costa County and explore ways to improve bus service. This study will use bus ridership and demographic data, as well as input from operators, riders, and members of the community, to re-design bus service in East County. The outcome of Revitalize Tri Delta Transit will be a scalable service plan for bus improvements and investments.
The study includes a review of the existing bus and Tri MyRide system, local conditions, and travel patterns.
In the Summer of 2024, the project team gathered feedback from the community through an online survey and discussions with stakeholders.
Using feedback we received during this phase of community outreach, two Draft Service Alternatives have been developed to guide the future of Tri Delta Transit services. Each alternative takes a different approach for providing transit service and has different benefits and tradeoffs. the two alternatives assume funding levels consistent with August 2024 service.
The purpose of this survey is to collect feedback from existing and potential riders about the Draft Service Alternatives. These alternatives are concepts at this time. The Preferred Alternative will likely contain a combination of recommendations from each of the Draft Service Alternatives rather than a single alternative in its entirety. Therefore, as you make comments, please be specific about what you like or do not like about an alternative.
