Do you want to see your work featured in the Irish Independent's Weekend Magazine  and take home a cash prize? We are searching for stunning photographs of people and local places which capture what it means to be Irish? Whether landscapes or portraits, city streets or country retreats, we're looking for photographs which tell Ireland's stories and what it means to be Irish for St Patrick's Day. Professionals, amateurs, young and old, all are welcome to take part. 

The competition will be judged by a panel of experts including the Group Head of Visuals at Mediahuis Ireland David Conachy and our team of award-winning photographers.

Our 1st place winner will have their work featured in our Weekend Magazine as well as receiving a €300 One 4All voucher.

Prize Specific Terms and Conditions
  1. The competition is to win publication of the entrant's original photography in the Irish Independent Weekend Magazine on March 19th 2022, with the winning prize including a €300 One4All gift card. Second prize will be for a €200 One4All voucher and third prize a €100 One4All voucher.
  2. To enter the competition, fill in your details on the competition form and upload your photograph.
  3. Photographs must be a minimum of 1MB, up to 16MB.
  4. The entrant must have full ownership of their submitted photograph.
  5. The entrant grants the Irish Independent all necessary rights to include the submitted photograph in our publications.
  6. The entrant must have the consent of any individuals or the parent/guardian of any minors featured in their work for publication of the submitted photograph by Irish Independent
  7. The photograph should be previously unpublished and free from any copyright restraints which might restrict the publication of the imagery by the Irish Independent.
  8. The competition runs from 9 February - 7 March 2022.
  9. Winners will be contacted by phone within 72 hours of the closing date.
  10. The winning image will be held and used by Mediahuis Ireland for use in the Irish Independent and marketing thereof. They may also be used to promote the 2023 competition.
  11. Unsuccessful entries, including personal data and images, will be deleted 30 days after the competition closing date.
