The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) is researching the shortage of qualified diesel technicians. To better understand the causes and solutions to this workforce challenge ATRI is reaching out to three key stakeholder groups:

1. Diesel technicians – from any industry – are encouraged to answer a five-minute survey about their career path and workplace preferences.

2. Diesel truck repair and maintenance shops are encouraged to complete a survey on recruiting, supporting and retaining diesel technician hires.

3. Diesel technician schools and training programs are asked to complete a survey that focuses on curricula, emerging technologies and industry partnerships.
