Two decades of prevention research and practice were synthesized to establish a meaningful quality standard for online prevention programs: The Campus Prevention Network Seal of Prevention. Annually, institutions implementing digital education will be evaluated against evidence-based prevention principles to assess the quality of their online programming strategy, including socio-cultural relevance, reach and dosage, and outcomes.

You can learn more about the CPN Seal of Prevention and previous recipients here.

This application will collect detailed information on your institution's digital prevention programs for students that address alcohol misuse prevention; diversity, equity, and inclusion; mental wellbeing; and sexual assault prevention. You will also have the opportunity to describe additional digital prevention programs for students that focus on other wellness, safety, and inclusion topics.

To ensure your application is complete, please be prepared to provide input on the following:
  • The topics covered in your online prevention programs, including any published efficacy research demonstrating their effectiveness.
  • The reach of these programs, including how many students participated and when the programs were delivered in the student lifecycle.
  • Examples of how the programs were tailored to address campus-specific priorities and align with the unique needs, strengths, and identities of your community.
  • Descriptions of the evaluation tools used to assess the impact of the programs.
  • Any trainings provided to the implementers of your online programs.
  • Details related to the different learning modalities included in your online programs to appeal to the needs of diverse learners.

Applications for the 2024 CPN Seal of Prevention must be submitted prior to November 1, 2024. Thank you for your commitment to quality digital prevention programming.
