Introduction to the award

Welcome to the Third Edition of CIO Excellence Awards by CII

The CIO Excellence Awards are back for their third edition, after successfully witnessing two editions in 2022 and 2023 in partnership with Protiviti. The awards recognize exceptional CIOs and tech leaders who have demonstrated value to their organization and achieved high results through stakeholder satisfaction. The CIO Awards in 2023 received over 400+ nominations, with 43 individuals recognized for their outstanding contributions.

The 3rd edition of the CIO Awards in 2024 will yet again be even more inspiring, since the initiative is keenly followed by CIOs from multiple sectors around the country who will compete for the top honors. The awards aim to inspire and set a new standard in acknowledging and celebrating the outstanding performance of CIOs and tech leaders in India.

We invite all CIOs and tech leaders in India to participate in the 3rd edition of the CIO Excellence Awards to showcase their exceptional leadership skills and achievements. Together, let's celebrate the best and inspire the next generation of CIOs and tech leaders.
Following are rules of nomination:
 
1) Nominations are sought under Sector and Theme based categories. 

2) One can apply for one award in Sector based category and upto 3 Theme based categories.
Eligibility Criteria:

Chief Information Officer/Chief Digital Officer/Head of IT/IT Director of companies listed, privately owned or public sector undertaking.

1. The nominated individual must directly report to the CXO/MD/Board only.

2. Nominated individual must be a CIO/CDO in the same company/group for at least two (2) years as on the date of nomination.

3. Company revenue qualifying criteria of >250 Crore INR will be considered.

Please ensure that you meet these criteria before your submission as the nominations are liable to be not considered if they don't meet the above criteria.
Guidelines for nominees:
 
1) Participants will be required to justify their nominations with a detailed statement of about 600 words. Suggest the following points to be added to the writeup to give a comprehensive picture of your contribution:
  • Achievements from past couple years in your organization
  • Key projects led by the nominee and their impact on the business
  • How you see your role transform and contribute to organisation’s growth.

2) In addition to Sector based awards, the nominees have an option to apply for thematic awards.  Please provide additional inputs justifying your nomination for up to 3 thematic awards, subject to a maximum of 250 words each.

3) Nominees must be willing to share additional information as may be requested by the organizing team.
 
4) Submission of nominations constitutes acceptance of all terms and conditions and the decision of the Jury will be final and binding.
