The FWC is responsible for managing Florida's fish and wildlife resources for their long-term well-being and for the benefit of people. This often involves enacting and enforcing rules and regulations governing activities such as hunting and fishing. FWC staff are seeking your input on a package of proposed hunting rule changes, including many dealing with FWC-managed lands, via this online commenting tool.

FWC Commissioners will consider these proposed hunting rule changes and provide guidance to staff on how to proceed at their Dec. 11 - 12, 2024, meeting. Commissioners will consider the proposed rule changes for final adoption at their Feb. 26 - 27, 2025, meeting. If adopted, most rules will take effect on July 1, 2025, and be in place for the 2025-2026 hunting season.
